Here is my first attempt at sculpting a pipe from a kit from Greece.

It's nowhere near perfect but this is not only my first attempt at pipe making, it's my first woodworking attempt ever! It was a learning curve and hopefully my next will be neater. I'm not going to stain or polish it. I want to experience a pure briar. So far it smokes beautifully!

Not bad for a first try! I would take some course sandpaper and smooth out some of the lines! And then go too a really fine grit. But other than that great job!

Thanks Irish. I'm going with the smooth paper but otherwise leaving it. It smokes so nice I don't wanna take anymore wood away and as I'll only ever smoke this in my den it don't matter how it looks. Smoke over aesthetic is my motto on this :D

Good job, the only one in the world like it. I just bought an Unfinished for the same reasons you have for leaving yours naked, because I lack your skills.

Congratulations on your creation. I have no artistic ability or space for a workshop so I gladly buy pipes made by others. I hope enjoy it for many years.

You did better than I could probably do. I have wanted to carve my own pipe for a while now.

But I have never done any woodwork or carving and I am afraid I will just waste my money on a kit.
