Is it considered an Aromatic?
Recently made my first blend and, in the thread I posted about it, someone mentioned putting some Rum in. Now, I'm not one for Aros and I don't like Rum, but it did give me an idea.
11 Wells 'Minnesota 13' Moonshine. Has a figgy flavor.
Dumped some of that into a little Perique. I think it will he an awesome combo! I'll let you know once I've burned some.

I've always wondered how people smoked alcoholified tobacco without fully drying it first, I'd imagine ethanol content would make it burn real bad.

You folks have some mighty patience. I'm sure I will end up aging tobacco like that one day, but it sounds so impossible right now. I want to smoke everything!

Always liked a little alcohol with my tobacco. Found drinking the alcohol and smoking the tobacco works best. At least for me.

I tried smoking the whiskey and drinking my tobacco. Didn't turn out so good...
@1coyote: love what you're doing there. Sounds very nice! Sample group tasting? Haha more seriously I don't think I'd have the patience. Nor the place to be honest. I've been moving house every year/2 years for the last 10 years. I'd love the stability.

I'm with Jabo, I too prefer to drink my alcohol. Of the few whiskey/whisky/rum blends I have tried none actually smelled or tasted anything like the supposed liquor infused in them, it was more like baking flavourings of the same name.
I wonder if any blends actually use 'real' liquors as opposed to flavourings?
Regards,
Jay.

I'm sure some do. I recall seeing a video once of a tour of the C&D factory. I'm pretty sure I recall them talking about one of their blends that uses bourbon and they had actual bottles of bourbon on the shelf in the factory (label removed or course). Wish I could track down that video.

Plan to grow my own tobacco next year. I've been looking into how to make dense plugs, not crumble cake. Going to drown it in rum and call it Drunk Frigate.

This will be my first alcohol flavored smoke, I'm really looking forward to it because of how much I love the ingredients. The moonshine is delightful, and it ought to match well with the Perique if any flavor is imparted. We'll see soon. I'll light some up in a few days!
