New product, such a cool pipe just couldn't resist...Mockingbird. Anybody volunteer to break it in? LOL

(Just searched, seems a lot of guys have one, love it.)

I don't recall any unpleasantness to breaking mine in......
Me either, but legend has it that Mark Twain abhorred it. Sourced on the internet, it must be true. Maybe he says this in one of his books.

Twain's Corncob Pipe
"I never smoke a new corn-cob pipe," Mark Twain told The Idler magazine in 1892. "A new pipe irritates the throat. No corn-cob pipe is fit for anything until it has been used at least a fortnight."

He claimed he would hire someone else ("a cheap man -- a man who doesn't amount to much, anyhow--who would be as well--or better--dead") to break in a pipe, and then would put in a new stem and use it as long as it held together."

That's a new pipe?!? It looks like you've been loving it for years. One of the reasons I never bought a cob was that I didn't think I'd live long enough to see it wear-in to a proper level. That thing looks totally legit! Well done, and maybe I need to visit the MM web site again.
