Thanks for posting the pix!

Pipe porn enjoyed here.

The freehand you made is impressive (I would have ended up with a walnut-sized stub.)

OK!!

While I put a very respectable shine on the pipes yesterday, I wasn’t fully satisfied.

Over many years I’ve read of RENAISSANCE WAX, but never bought any.

It is one incredible product. Goes on easy, dries, and will buff within seconds.

The tub was $30 at Woodcraft, but definitely a bargain for keeping my pipe finishes in immaculate condition.

Thanks Harris.

I was getting jealous of the gorgeous pictures of your blasts.

The RENAISSANCE WAX even gave the crevices on the Nording a beautiful luster.

Now it’s time to start working on about 12-15 TanBlasts I have stashed away.

Does the Renaissance help with stem oxidation at all? Or only shines them after you've gotten rid of the oxidation?

It will be good to polish and help prevent oxidation.

If a stem is already oxidized I’d recommend CAREFULLY buffing it down to black using Micro-Mesh pads. I’m working on my first oxidized stem and have come to a new understanding of patience. Considering this stem is 30 years old I’m considering it a real restoration project, and not merely a sand-it-down and smoke it project.
