Looking at a pipe up for auction with a script Finn signature on the bottom of the shank. Haven't been able to Google up much. Anyone familiar, and is it worth pursuing? Thanks in advance.

Most likely it's a Finn Andersen pipe. From pipedia:

There is no certain information about his origins. Finn Meyan Andersen went to the United States and landed in New York City. There he could be found once in a while sitting in the store window of one of the major pipe shops producing pipes. Being featured as "famous Danish pipemaker", he told the spectators that he had worked in the famous W.Ø. Larsen workshop in Copenhagen before.

It is possible if not likely this is the same person as Finn Andersen, one of the less famous Danish Pipemakers, who made pipes under his own brand, as well as Mr. Andersen pipes.

During the second half of the 70's he joined The Briar Workshop, founded by Elliott Nachwalter and Jorg Jemelka it Vermont, for about two years. In remains a mystery of what became of him afterwards.

I am sure that our Finn Andersen never went to US.
He lived in Skovlunde, went to work every day and made pipes in his spare time. He was a freind of mine and made fine pipes.

That was a very nice pipe. I put in a low bid in case it didn't draw much interest, but it was still a bargain. My friend, Fred Hanna, once told me about a Finn pipe that he had at one time. He was very complimentary about Finn pipes, in general.

Congrats on a good buy and a beautiful pipe.
