Fine Pipes
I just want to say their wax is great!
Five stars all the way!
I’ve only used Paragon, so I ordered some Halcyon II for my Rusticated/Blasted pipes, and it arrived yesterday.
Today I waxed 3 of my rusticated pipes, and let me tell you, amazing wax!
Paragon is a harder wax for smooth finishes, Halcyon II feels more like a tomato paste thickness, thinner and a lighter texture.
Dry times on the bottles say to dry briefly, and I’d assume ambient conditions will vary that.
I let the Paragon dry for 5 minutes, it will give the typical white wax dry look when it’s dried. The Halcyon II is a different story sitting on rusticated/blasted finishes, you can’t tell looking at the pipes. So I went for the touch test, when it started to feel dry, which was around 20-30 minutes for me.
The sheen these waxes leave is really nice, and I only hand buffed lightly with a microfiber cloth for all my pipes.
I think because these are made specially for pipes, these should be in everyone’s collection!
Thanks for great products Fine Pipes! ?
I think this picture shows the sheen fairly decent, the old 60s Grabow really shined up nice!
