Feel Good Story of the Day

Last Saturday my dad visited my 99 year old grandmother in her nursing home. Any other time that's not news worthy, but of course with the current situation it's a little different.

He knows that she sits by the window with her friends at 11:30 for lunch, and surprised her outside the window. One of the PSWs took this photo.

Later there was even a little mention of them on the news.

Its good for everyones moral to stay connected to the ones we love. We started skyping my mom and dad instead of just calling them. Made a huge difference for them to see us and the grandkids. Felt more like a conversation that way.

Good on him, wife did hair in a nursing home, so many neglected old folks, even before this virus. Made me remember my Grandparents.

Reminds me how much I miss my grandmothers. Even though I never met my Dad's mom, whom he barely knew at all himself, as she died along with the next baby when he was very little.

I haven't figured that one out yet.
