Well PAD has struck me again. Got 2 new apples today. A Radice Rind Bent and a Luciano smooth straight. Christened the Radice with Solani 633 flake today. Trying to decide what to load the Luciano with.

Thanks. And yes it is bent. And I believe it is going to be a great smoker if that first bowl was any indication.

The Radice is my first pipe with a Cumberland stem. I really think I'm going to like it. All my others are acrylic.

Both very lovely pieces, just take good care of that Cumberland stem. Being a colored ebonite, it will start to oxidize over time.

Awesome pipes! I really love apples and the gentle bend in the Radice really set it apart. Not to mention the cumberland stem. You see it so seldomly.

Yes that is what I hear. Almost let that keep me from getting it but after smoking it I am glad I didn't. Looks and feels great. And thanks for the advice.

Very welcome. Rub a little Obsidian Oil on the cumberland from time to time, and keep it out of direct exposure to sunlight, and it should look new for years to come.

A little upstaged by the Radice, but the Luciano is a beauty. I have two, and they are great pipes. Mine are a blast billiard and an author. Very easy smokers.

I was a little worried that the Luciano might be too small, but after taking it to work today I realized how handy such a small pipe is while out checking on my engineering projects. I really think I am going to enjoy it. And yes it is a little bit upstaged by the Radice, but with the price difference I guess it should be. They are just 2 completely different animals (or apples I suppose).

An apple a day keeps the doctors away! Nice pipes. Luciano's are always engineered perfectly and seem to smoke wonderfully. And that Radice is a feast for the eyes! Enjoy!
