Favorite Peterson Pipe Finish

Love them all, but sandblast 80s is the favorite

In certain cases I've preferred the smooth pipes. The visually nice grain and a light stain are hard to find now. There have been some older (70s) era pipes that had nice rustication. I do not like the current style. In today's production I prefer the sandblasted pipes.

Rusticated are a distant second to smooth finish for me. Love to see high quality wood grain. Same with gun stocks. Mother Nature wins out everytime with aggressive grain and smooth finish.
