How about we get this started? I really enjoy this little segment Brian L. uses in his interviews. "No right answer. Now wrong answer." It could be fun to learn a bit about our forum community.
1. What's your favorite pipe?

2. What's your favorite tobacco?

3. What's your favorite drink?

4. When it's time to relax, is it a book, a movie or music?

5. What's your favorite pipe smoking memory? (Such a great question IMHO)

Parker rusticated billiard

Punchbowle

Milk (but never milk while smoking)

Always a book, I dont listen to as much music as I'd like

Whenever I go sailing, nothing more lovely than standing on deck with a nice breeze smoking a well earned pipe.
Good post!

My two cents...
1. My Bear's Den (Ted Haviland) straight billiard my wife surprised me with as a gift.

2. MacBaren Burley London Blend (subject to change without prior notice!)

3. Stouts, dark lagers and strong coffees.

4. Yes.

5. My boys are 13 and 11. Whenever I step out on the front porch for a pipe, they usually follow me out within minutes. They will walk away from the TV, game, or whatever they are doing for quiet visit time. They will often ask me when I'm going to go outside to make sure they don't miss it. We sit and enjoy the air and chat about life. Of course, they have lots of questions about pipes, and they can't wait until they are "grown up" and can try one out.
I look forward to reading others' answers.

Thanks Anglesey! Sailing is something I've always wanted to do. It's a challenge that I live in Missouri, but someday...

3. Jack Daniels Honey

4. Either watching some Jeremy Brett Holmes episodes or listening to some Nat King Cole

5. Last year Brian was in town for the same expo he's pre-recording this upcoming week's radio episode for. He messaged me and asked if I was up for meeting up at Bally's and sharing a bowl or two. Had a great time getting to know him and talking pipes.

Most likely a meer at the house. My Pete with its wee cap in the field..
What I am smoking at the time.
Circumstances determine my favorite. Could be water on a hot day, Guinness, sweet tea, wine, totally dependent on the situation.
Book
Yesterday. A bald eagle posing for me and a cob stinking up the immediate area. Life was good!

1. Right at the moment, an Upshall silver spigot bent apple that I just got from Briar Blues

2. Germain's Medium Flake

3. Good coffee in the morning, beer or scotch at night

4. Music mostly jazz but I'll read a book and smoke while its playing

5. I was sitting downstairs in the man cave, dogs asleep at my feet, jazz playing and finally had the near perfect smoke. Perfect fill, no relights, no gurgle, no tongue singe - 45 minutes later, glass empty, nothing but ash in the pipe, I realized that I had finally figured out how to smoke a pipe. The dogs kept sleeping.

3. Whichever one that I've selected at the time.

4. All three, sometimes simultaneously. I believe in moderation.

5. A few days before Christmas, sitting on a hay bale, in a cold night drizzle, in Griffith Park when the Holiday Festival Of Lights was going on, listening to Judy Garland singing Have yourself A Merry LIttle Christmas from the outdoors sound system, and contentedly blowing smoke rings.

1. Hands down, my favorite is a customized rusticated stubby billiard. The markings came off when it was shortened, so I have no idea who the maker is. It's an exceptional pipe that seems to smoke for hours (of course that's an exaggeration).

2. Scotty's Butternut Burley has been a consistent favorite of mine.

3. It's a toss up between TX blended whiskey and Templeton Rye.

4. Definitely music: anything from Gregorian Chant to R&B (basically anything except Hip-Hop and Rap).

5. Sitting on the back porch while it was snowing, watching the sunset.

The forums remind me just how much some of us have in common beyond our love of the briar as I read some of your answers above. In fact I was thinking of starting such a thread while I was out this morning and lo and behold here we are. You beat me to it Billp

Here goes:

1. Peterson Donegal Rocky 999 - forgiving pipe, good smoker, small size but lasts forever

2. G.L. Pease Piccadilly - have only had 3 or 4 bowls of a sampler that I got in mail from Tim at Two Cousins a few years ago. Found it, rehydrated and fell in love. Waiting on some more in mail.

3. Single malt whisky - which one depends on day and weather; Islay's for rainy or cold days; lowlands or heathery highlands for spring and summer. Rich, sherried Speysides for fall

4. a book

5. In 2004 while teaching in Northern Alberta I detached my retina while playing a ball hockey game with students. I required surgery in Edmonton to reattach the retina. In my pain medication induced haze, I can a recall a gentlemen, a stranger to me, walking into my room and asking if he had the right person. He asked for me by name and I confirmed, albeit groggily, that I was the fellow for whom he was looking. He explained that he was from Burlington on Whyte Tobacconists (I can't remember exactly, I was pretty loopy, but I think it was Chris) and my staff had called and placed an order with him for a pipe to be delivered to the Royal Alexandra hospital. I thanked him and unfortunately didn't have much in the way of energy to carry on a conversation. He left but about a year later I called his store and explained that I was looking to purchase a few things, I explained that he may not remember who I was and began to relate the story…he quickly interrupted me and said that no, he remembered quite well. It was the strangest request he had ever had as a tobacconist and we had a good laugh. That was 10 years ago and though I moved back east I still laugh when I think about that.

Tough choices, most of my anwsers are "at the moment" as they are bound to change week to week, or month to month, whatever:
1. Hilson Vintage chimney

2. SG Full Virginia Flake

3. Coffee, with french vanilla creamer

4. Generally books, but TV is good for vegging out

5. I'm gonna have to go with when I met rsuninv. He's a great guy, and we had a few good smokes. An epic day in my smoking history.

My favourite pipe? I have many, but this one I just got from Michael Parks is my current favourite.

My favourite tobacco is currently a toss-up between Klondike Gold and Wessex BCDF.
My favourite drink is wine. As far as hard liquor, it is scotch. For a mixed drink, it is a properly made Mint Julep.
Music is my favourite way to relax. I like many genres, from classic rock, jazz and classical to bluegrass and old school outlaw country.
Favourite pipe-related memory? Smoking my pipe as my wife and I wandered through the streets of the latin quarter in Paris one Sunday morning after having attended mass at Notre Dame Cathedral.
