I recently sent my Savinelli Venezia 506 out to Blake at SATX pipe to have it cleaned up de-caked and polished, and I have the say the results were great! This pipe was my first non-basket pipe purchase, I’ve had it for 12 years. The pipe is sentimental for me and I was very sad at the loss of the silver filling in the little sailboat logo (I come from a long line of sailing folk). It had a thicc layer of crumbling cake and had lost some of its shine as well as some wave shaped oxidation on the stem (you can see it a bit in the second and third picture, the boat theme is really present
this was before.
And these after!
this pipe came back like it was brand new! And the price was super fair for all this! 40 bucks! I’m highly recommending if you need a restoration to send it over to Blake. He did a great job, my little boat logo is back, I’m quite happy. Smoking a bowl of spark plug in it now, it’s a good day!
I also bought new a pipe from his shop, but I’ll post that in the proper thread.
