I also like single malt scotch...just can't bring myself to use it as a cleaner..

you use so little and if you enjoy a good single malt why not season you pipe with it.

I use and drink Hendrick's gin. I'd go to Plymouth high test but only available in duty free, not Pa.

A neighbor gave me a bottle of Bacardi his daughter left at his house. So I just use that.

I use Jack Daniels'. Any flavor imparted is negligible, since I tend to smoke aros. Gets the pipes clean just fine, and I can always take a little nip, or three.

Right on. that's How I see it. It takes 5ml or so to clean a pipe so once every couple of months a pipe gets 5 ml., I get 2 fingers or so and enjoy another pipe from the rotation while doing it. I don't mind spending $90.00 on that once a year.
