Hey all! Been a couple of years since I've been active on the forum. Moving states and health challenges with my Bride have kept me occupied but I've certainly been enjoying my pipes along the journey! I return with a couple of photos and questions. I found this lot of old pipes at the estate sale of a local old timer. While going through his two outbuilding shops full of well made old tools, I discovered this pipe track with humidor and five well used pipes. I've identified 4 of them as old dime-store type Medicos and such, but one I can't seem to dig up much on. It's labeled "Lowell" and has an orange (perhaps formerly red?) dot on the stem. Any insight? I'm looking forward to learning how to restore this set over the winter -

Thank you! Yeah, should be a fun bunch of projects. Is "Who Made That Pipe" a part of this forum?
It is a reference book compiled in the 1970's (I think) that lists all current to the time pipe makers and country of origin. Most of the info is found on the internet these days, but sometimes it can ID an obscure name. I keep a copy in my Drop-box, a PDF version. You can download it here if you like:

Gee Al, how are we supposed to be information gatekeepers if you just remove the gate?😉
