This is my first tobacco review so i will try to do my best folks. This is a tobacco that every time i smoke it i fell more and more in love with it. Its tasty its classic and good quality how can you go wrong? Now by quality i mean the flavor and how well it smokes and burns but i will try to be more specific later on in this review.
Tin appearance: The new tin is basically same in shape and size as the Peterson's University Flake one. Yellow with the Red Erinmore/pineapple logo a goldish signature of John Muray while the old ones were by Muray and sons or Originally by Muray and sons & company limited. The new tin also writes on it" Fruity Blend Of Virginia and Burley Tobaccos". The new tin must have been released recently in the market since i first saw it today and the last time i bought Erinmore was like 2-3 months ago. I personally prefer the old one in terms of size really handy and fits your pocket nicely.
Tobacco appearance and taste: Well cut flakes not too Dark but more open in color like the usual "light" flake color. It is also Air Cured. Now it is important to mention that in the new pack/tin the flakes are longer in size that the previous/older tin but i think they also a little thinner than they previous were. However, the lovely smell and taste haven't changed. Lovely fruity and floral taste with each puff. They say its citrus, i kinda agree but i think the floral taste and smell that you get overwhelms the fruitiness. In my opinion that is not a bad thing. The room note is also pretty good. This tobacco is not considered aromatic however the aroma/taste of it place it somewhere in between. Unlike the "true" aromatics which are more good/pleasant room note but lack of taste and strength Erinmore delivers both room note and supreme taste to the smoker. And thats how tobaccos should be first the smoker in terms of taste and aroma and then the ones that might be around.
Closing this review this is a tobacco that every pipe smoker should smoke at least once in his life. Its smooth, burns really well for a flake even if you dont rub it and hey its a classic! I might not have the experience that most of you people here have when it comes to tobaccos and i am kinda young(23 years old) to have many pipe smoking experiences but for those who havent tasted yet go and buy it i am sure you will enjoy it. Truly worths every euro/dollar/pound that you pay for. Happy smoking

I, too, am an Erinmore Flake fan. It has a wonderful smell in the tin, when I show non-pipe friends my tobaccos, it ts the first one I offer to them to smell. Last year I found an unopened 100 fr tin of Erinmore Flakes with an original price tag of $1.27! That is a while ago... When I opened it, it was fresh and I just put a thin slice of apple on it and closed the tin to moisten it a bit. Wonderful, this is how I started with this tobacco. I got one of the current 50 gr tins and compared, it is exactly the same, so they really keep the recipe going. One of my top 3 smokes!
