English Blend Aroma/ Flavor.

I've not been smoking very long, so my question may be a bit amateur. I've noticed an aroma and flavor that seems to be common among a few of my English blends, its a musky type of smell and carries a bit into the flavor of the smoke. I was wondering if this smell is the aroma and taste of the Latakia in the English blend? Thanks. ::

English blends, its a musky type of smell and carries a bit into the flavor of the smoke.

The smoky aroma is generally associated with Latakia.

It has also been described as camp fire, or peppery/smoky and a plethora of other descriptions.

But, generally a smoky aroma indicates Latakia.

Some orientals will give you a slight musty odor. What I get from the latakia is as Lawrence says.
