I found a cure for both PAD and TAD but wouldn't recommend it. Clinical Depression can affect a person in one of two ways. Being depressed, of course, or causing a person to become increasingly indifferent to things that once interested them. Lost all interest in pipes and pipe tobacco for years. Sold off most of my best pipes during this time. Interest came back a few months ago. Was really bummed when I found out so many blends I liked were gone. The funny part is I have a bunch of aged tobacco I can't bring myself to smoke because I found out what it is worth now.
Interesting, I find online shopping, in this case pipes, something I do more of when I’m depressed. Temporarily it helps, then I worry more about spending money I don’t have. Sorry to hear you have gone through that, depression sucks.

Just keep reminding yourself, price doesn’t always equate to a better smoker, and if I remember correctly I gave you a link to The Myth of Brand and Maker in Pipesmoking’, by Dr. Fred Hanna?

I don’t recall if you mentioned how long you’ve been smoking, but if it’s been a short while, unless you have deep pockets, I’d give it a few years of smoking and educating, before spending big money on pipes.
Big money is relative I suppose, I’ve noticed a smoking improvement going from 100 new pipes to 300 dollar estates. That isn’t big money to me but it adds up for sure.
