In the sticks in Mississippi
Anyone familiar with these pipes? I got this off ebay and it appears that these were entry level pipes made by Micoli (Michael "Mic" Burns), that were made from pipes that he got from British or Italian pipe makers, and then added his unique carving to them. I had a Micoli pipe that I bought new back in the late 1980s, but ended up selling it as it wasn't very comfortable to hold or clench. I had no idea that these E. Oslo pipes existed but for less than $30 including shipping I decided to take a chance on it. It appeals to me more that his original made from scratch pipes as it's less flamboyant and you can see the original shape of this pipe. But that's just my opinion as I'm not much of a freehand pipe fan. This is still plenty weird looking though, only stamped E.Oslo on the bottom of the shank, and only needed a light cleaning. I'll post some smoking comments after I've run a couple of bowls through it.
