I posted earlier that I'd been seeking a specific Dunhill for close to a year now with zero luck. A fellow forum member saw my post and found a similar pipe for sale, but still not exactly what I wanted, but as long as I happened to be on the site he'd alerted me to I figured I'd look around.... and there it was!! Not only was it exactly what I've been looking for, but it was even better! It was a DR Amber! Were it not for the assistance received here there's no chance I would've found it. I'm still in shock! To find a pipe you've spent so much time searching for feels really good, but when your expectations aren't only met, but exceeded... Well I'm just tickled. Can't wait to have this beauty in my hands....

Thanks Scrooge!!! This will be the first, and hopefully the only, time I've purchased a new Dunhill. The premium paid for a new pipe is just too rich for my blood, but if I kept awaiting an estate meeting my requirements I'd be waiting for a long time. Paying straight new-pipe retail prices sucks. At least they're running a 10% off sale which helps a little bit.

That's perfection. I love the bead-line. It's a big one too. Group 5 or even 6. I love it.

Stan, I was told about the sale in an email...

"We are running a special promotion on Dunhill pipes and a 10% discount will appear at checkout.

Have a good day.
All the best,

I always wondered why most squat Bulldogs were generally sz3-4. This is the first big one I've seen. This photo better depicts scale...

Minnesota,
One of the finest... No, to my eye and taste.. THE finest pipe I have seen.
That is family heirloom stuff. A 100 years from now people will wonder about the person who first owned a pipe like that.
I hope you post more pics of it once you receive it.

It's no wonder a pipe such as that took you so long to find, I know paying for new is not always easy but like you stated it's more than what you were looking for and a classic that will be a family heirloom, congratulations, you'll be smoking it by Monday, cheers.
