About 30 years ago my dad bought a collection of pipes with most of them being Grenci, which smokes great! In that collection was a few pipes named HW. They are stamped HW with a small logo of a pipe. I can't find any info on HW pipes. Does anyone know anything about these. Thanks in advance for replying.

Weinberger passed away in the early 80s, so they're not made anymore. I think he worked out of NYC or nearby New Jersey. He was one of the first American "artisan" pipe makers. Pipe maker Mark Tinsky used to work for him in the late 70s, I believe. He still makes pipes.
Pipedia has good writeups on both:

I have a few of these JHW stamped pipes. Thank you for bringing them up and the links. Hebclyde, do you have any pics?

I have a difficult time posting pics too because I usually use the mobile site from my phone and tablet. I think the issue is memory and speed. I needed to create an account on photobucket. I then snap a pic from my phone or tablet and email the pic to my photobucket account. In theory, your supposed to be able to click on the icon above that says IMG (it comes up on the top of the box when you are typing a post to this forum) and paste the link to the photo in the IMG box. Once you send the post, the pic is supposed to be on the post. That's never worked for me. I usually just copy the entire link from photobucket and paste it directly into my post. Then I ask another forum member to help me make the actual photo a part of my post. Others can do it for me but I can't. There's a "sticky" thread on here with instructions on how to post pics. Posting pics to this forum is like me trying a feeble attempt at brain surgery. Sorry if I made things more confusing for you.
Anyway, yea, JHW pipes, nice looking freehands with a very natural finish. I think they are underrated.
