Does a Rim Cap Interfere with Reaming?

This is a pipe I'd like to get.

Does anyone know if the metal cap will get in the way of doing a good ream job on the bowl?

My suspicion is that it would not. But I need to ask the council.

Probably not. But if you take the time to wipe the chamber walls with wadded paper toweling after a bowl, you probably won't be needing a reamer for months or years.

I don't think they would have went to the trouble to put on a cap just to have mangled by a reamer.

If you ream carefully using dull pen knife, it should be ok. If you put in reamer that fits the chamber beyond the ream and go out on town.. I'm sure you won't.
