Discovering Calabash

I just purchased my first Calabash pipe. It's a French BC and sports a Turkish block meerschaum bowl and an African gourd. A beautiful addition to my collection, but between salt, alcohol and a somewhat complex cleaning system, it will never be an every day smoker. On the special occasions I have smoked it, it's a truly remarkable experience...virtually no heat and just the pure, clean taste of the tobacco.

I have a gourd Calabash and I love it, very cool smoke! I reccomend eveyrone try one if you have not had the pleasure.

That is beautiful... Ive been wanting one for my collection for many many years now... just havent been in the position to do it.
