Its a straight billiard but its not coloring really much at all. I have another straight showing up today.Is the second one straight or bent? Out of the ones I used to have, the bents colored faster and more evenly that the straights.
The carvers still put a clear wax on white Meers. The wax will most often darken in the early part of the Meer's life. Unfortunately, the wax wears off over time and then you wait for the natural coloring process to take place.It started off as pure white. Such a great looking pipe. That replacement stem really transformed it in my opinion. Perhaps yours will be an exception. As I said, time will tell. Below is one of my Meers, it was pure white when I received it. Top photo is much younger than the one below it. The third is how it looks right now albeit a poor photo.View attachment 394732
