Did you dry it down before smoking? While I havent' smoked Davidoff in many years, I remember the tobaccos being pretty moist. I find that an excess of moisture deadens flavors.Smoked my first bowl of Davidoff Danish Mixture, straight out of the tin nice aroma honey, yeasty sourdough, walnut but big disappointment smoked bland, extremely bland. It is definitely my least favorite tobacco
Will try drying it next timeDid you dry it down before smoking? While I havent' smoked Davidoff in many years, I remember the tobaccos being pretty moist. I find that an excess of moisture deadens flavors.
Give it 45 minutes to an hour, or more. Depends on the humidity where you live. Ideally, let it get quite dry, not quite dried out, but very little moisture. The flavors are carried in the smoke and steam from the tobaccos surrounding the burning cherry, and you want a reduction, not a thin broth. Will try drying it next time
Drying it do help, but it is still kind of bland. Few review talk about aging this blend for few years and guess it will be my next choice since i will not smoke this tobacco any time soon?Give it 45 minutes to an hour, or more.
