One of the funniest dudes on the planet. Who else has the genius to create one of the best shows on tv and then the integrity to walk away from 90 million bucks because he didn't feel right doing it anymore.

He's a cigarette smoker - and a scumbag - he supported the G. Floyd narrative and BLM - with all of his money he can't resist running his trap - went ahead and caused trouble literally a week after the events scheduling a 'comedy show' which was completely a social justice political rant broadcasted on Netflix. I used to have respect for the guy - bumped into him several times in New York City between 2005-2007 but lately he hasn't ben funny just an old hack with too much time on his hand - much like most comedians of yore.
Nothing as de-invigorating as throwing on a wet blanket first thing in the morning.
I don't know, he's still pretty funny to me. His Netflix shows are hilarious.
man hasn't any integrity - a man with integrity would remain apathetic to the salary and stick to what he does best - tell jokes
@wintergarden I love Dave Chappelle, his old stuff maybe a little more than his new stuff, but all of it makes me laugh. In saying that, I have no problem with you calling him a scumbag, for whatever reason you have BUT are you equating cigarette smokers generally with scumbags? It's the way you have it lined up there in your opening statement makes it seem that way. I have a problem with that...I can join in feeling smug and superior about a pipe smokers specialised and "slightly different" form of nicotine intake, but if there is one thing I have slowly realised over the last decade or so of pipe smoking it is that I am just a smoker.

Sorry - NO - I neglected punctuation - I meant to say that he is a cigarette smoker - specifically a chain smoker - nothing to do with him as a person - he is a scumbag with strict adherence to the fact that he is a scumbag. I was a cigarette smoker at one point in my life and have nothing against all tobacco users - Now vapes(the juice nictoine delivery system type )which chapelle is also a user of - that's a different story.

A scumbag? Chappelle? Come on man...dude speaks the truth if you listen with an open mind (and I am just to the left of the John Birch society).
He's a hilarious man, that's for sure. Sometimes he sheds some light on things that people don't want to see, but that's okay. Comedians are supposed to be challenging the fold. If he isn't pissing someone off, he wouldn't be one of the greats.
