We're excited to introduce the new Pipedia AI-Powered Dating Assistant, a chatbot designed to help you with your inquiries about Dunhill patent numbers and date codes.

It's a complimentary service, but it does have a monthly usage limit (500 messages), so we kindly ask that you use it judiciously. For a quick and accurate analysis, just provide the chatbot with the relevant stampings from your pipe and ask for a date. It's that simple!

Should the monthly limit for the AI assistant be reached, there's another great option. You can consult the source material directly by downloading the PDF on the page and uploading it for analysis using your personal account on an alternative AI platform of your choice.

Please note that this guide is currently undergoing a significant review. I am actively adding new information, and a fully updated version will be available within the next few days.

All my best. =)

Note: this tool works exclusively with restricted information that has been previously added and is solely focused on pipes. The guide itself serves as the main reference, along with Loring’s book and Field’s article. Any other type of search will not work. The chatbot has not been programmed to date or evaluate anything else, such as lighters, for instance, only pipes, and only based on the information provided in the published guide.

Wow this is crazy! 🤯 Thanks for posting.
Indeed, it's rather astonishing.

While it is still in its testing phase and presents some errors, after a few adjustments, it is already capable of dating pipes with considerable quality. With further refinement, I am confident it will become both efficient and reliable very shortly.

It is crucial to note that the AI's information base is sourced exclusively from the guide; consequently, it does not perform lengthy queries based on general, external contexts. The guide is its sole source.

Thank you for your kind message.

I just take or copy a picture of the engraving and ask chatgpt. Looks like it works.
That's good to know!

I'm still refining the instructions. Now, in addition to dating, it also deciphers the other stamps. This extra layer has added a lot of complexity to the comparative logic.
Since usage is limited, I need to take breaks between validation tests so as not to consume the entire monthly resource. I am unable to test it freely to ensure everything is perfect; this will be achieved over time.

A curious fact: in the first few days, there was a significant volume of dating — 300 in the first week. Afterward, there was some concern and skepticism regarding the quality of the dating. I received a few messages expressing apprehension, due to a certain degree of unfamiliarity, but I believe the sentiment is better now. It will still take a little while until it is working flawlessly.

Thank you, and have a great weekend.
