I picked this up on EBay 35 bucks, because I like the size and shape. It’s going to need some stem work, but everything else looks solid. I have been doing lots of research on Comoy. I want to know if I’m correct. From everything I read I would date the pipe 1933 to 1939. (1)The Com made in England, In a football, from my understanding wasn’t on pipes after the late 30s. The thin C . And Comoy no apostrophe. As well as the font. I know and read all the threads I could find on dating. I know smoking pipes gives a generic date as well. The patent is not a date . It’s for sale in USA filed in 1933. The patent expired in 53. So with all that information , the pipe can’t be younger than 1933. Or older than 53. The com was not seen after the late thirties. The font, the thin C. I’m just trying to figure it out. Here are some Pics . ANY help or information would be great!! Your research is correct.
It is pre-war (II)
Any Comoy pipe from this time will be a fantastic smoker and will also look very beautiful.
Comoy was one of the best at cutting a bowl and they usually have amazing grain.
Great score!
:)
