Yeah, I'm not sure what you are referring to here unless you're getting fooled by the reflection (which is easy since as you said, it has a white background). The transition between the stem and the metal of the spigot is as flush as it could be.I really wish there was a more contrasting shot for One—what appears as a hard edge of the stem where it meets the metal of the spigot still bugs me; the Tulip shape on Two bothers me, but, I like the overall feel. I'm on the fence with this one and will need to think about it. I much preferred the one piece and the one with the bamboo shank and colourful stem much more than either of these.
Hahaha, as fun as that sounds, unfortunately no. Some of these will eventually be sold though. My first choice lost in the semis. My second choice lost in the quarterfinals.
So I will go with #1
Rumor on the street - You are gifting these to 16 lucky winners who voted. Is that true ?

Yeah, I'm still not following. Can you circle what you are referring to in this photo?:It appears the face of the stem has no transition the metal:

like it just meets the metal.
Ah.....yeah, that would be super funky, hahaha, that's just the stupid reflection getting to you. The transition from bakelite to silver is seemless. A white background definitely didn't help with the photos for this one but I wanted to present them the way the carver wanted them presented so I used their photos.
