The hunt is as much fun as the find.

So one of the things I collect is books. I have all sorts of books and have read most of them. I don't collect any old book. The ones I do have a particular interest for me such as science, pipes, or a particular style of fiction.

Part of my curating is to add very specific and often not easy to find books such as old or signed versions.

I've got a line on signed books by 2 of my favorite authors although one of them is a little pricey. (Finding a good deal also contributes to the enjoyment of the pursuit.)

Lately if taken to the notion of finding original or bound volumes of magazines such as "Wierd Tales". The internet hasn't yielded any good results yet so I guess it's time to start checking antique markets.

Does anybody have suggestions of other places to look?

Although they went (or nearly went) bankrupt, Barnes and Noble is still around and the local one has a used book annex.

Despite being almost obsolete, college towns tend to have used book stores that can be treasure troves as well.

Both options categorize the books for convenient browsing.
