Correcting a High Draft Hole in Meerschaum

I recently acquired a new meerschaum pipe that I really like, unfortunately the draft hole is drilled about 3-4mm high in the bowl. Is pipe mortar an appropriate medium to sue to correct this, or should I just live with it?

You could use those meer thingy's you put on the bottom of the bowl, can't remember what they are called, little discs...

"High" draft holes are no problem unless they are really too high.

Philtpads and filters are an option and come in many sizes and shapes.

Unless returning the pipe is not an option I would opt for either of the pads/washers.
