Good morning,
I found a corn cob pipe shape that I like but I have a few questions.
The name of the pipe shape is Corn Cob General Pipe. It is has a rather tall bowl, not as tall as the MacArthur pipe.
My quesstion is: Is there a risk of burning the bowl out because of the height of the bowl?
Thank you,

John

No more risk than there would be with any other cob bowl, as near as I can tell. If memory serves, they use the larger diameter cobs on the General and MacArthur models (also the Great Dane), which helps with heat issues (more material to absorb the heat). Smoke it slow and you'll be fine.

I you should burn it out. Then you can repair it easily with pipe mud.
