CAO got hold of Ismet Bekler circa 1977-1978, and especially in the first seven or eight years, Bekler was commissioned to carve limited edition pipes of the same subject. I thought it would be interesting to attempt to catalogue these. The ones I mean are marked, carved into the pipe itself in most cases, the title, "No. (number) of (edition number)," and a date, usually two digits but occasionally four. Say:
King Tut No. 28 of 100 '83
If anyone here has any of these, and they're not listed here, let me know.
Editions are of 100 pipes, except where noted

Here’s my Holmes & Watson set from CAO, signed by iBekler, but unnumbered. I bought them 40 to 50 years ago and they’ve never been smoked.

Thanks! It's not one of the limited editions I'm looking for, but it IS only the 2nd box-cased CAO bekler I've seen having a blank brass tag on the top (I had mine engraved with my name).

Cool! I did post a picture of my other iBekler pipes in the unmarked CAO forum as well as an unsigned meerschaum that could be one of his pieces (I’m smoking it right now!)

It’s also the only meerschaum I’ve ever seen with a carved vented cap on it. You might like to take a look!
