What are your favorites and why?

I'm not sure what mine are really but have been enjoying a good bit of Half and Half the last week or two.

Just curious about what you all enjoy in those type blends.

Thanks to this forum I have a tub of Granger that I enjoy sometimes and have a pouch of SWRA. Before I ventured here I smoked a bit of Prince Albert but it's almost gone and I'm not sure if it's available anymore.

I have not tried CH so far, maybe I should?

Just curious..

Happy smokes all!

If I had to guess, my father’s blend is a bit of a codger’s blend. It most likely is a blend of Lanes A Bit Of Burley and Very Cherry. Mild, burns cool, no tongue bite, it is a passive and pleasant all day smoke. Unlike him, it neither packs a punch and it is respectful of all those who it comes into contact. One of my father’s better contributions to society. I am positive he’d agree with that statement- but only after he cursed and bad mouthed your tin tobacco collection.

1Q or 5 Brothers or a combination of the two. Just got a pouch of Casey Jones Beyond Brave, and even though I've only tried one bowl, I'm enjoying it thus far. I'm always on the lookout for a great burley/aromatic in a pouch.

What do I like about it? It checks all of my boxes

Taste
The Cut
Loads easily
Moisture is perfect
Feel is soft and luxurious.
Always burns very slowly
Always cool and dry
A very clean tasting tobacco
The side note is to die for...
Fragrant
Dissipates quickly, never lingers
Its Retro is very tasty ?
Unbelievably mild blend
Creamy mouth feel
Room note is old time pipey
Tin note is clean, not artificial.
The price is great
Medium strength
Availability and almost always in stock somewhere

American otc. Sir Walter Raleigh aromatic. I like how it’s easy to smoke and I love the taste I got a tub I’m going to crack open once I finish some other blends I got open first. I also really like condor for uk otcs but since I’m in the states i only mention it for the record it’s truely a unique blend.

I enjoy pretty much every Codger blend I have tried but like some more than others. These are favorites:

Granger
SWRA
PA
Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey
Super Value Bourbon Whiskey
Mixture 79
Middleton Cherry
Match Bourbon Street
Match Sugar Barrel
Match Edgeworth RR
Match Field & Stream

So many to choose from and most of them are readily available accept for discontinued ones.

I'm really enjoying my tub of Chestnut, which is Hearth & Home's take on Walnut. Trying to make it last though as I can no longer order it, along with many other popular OTC blends (classed as topped or flavored). Interestingly though I'm able to get the match walnut blend, so I'll have to see how it compares.
