A couple months back, I scored a Brewster off eBay for five bucks. Research on this forum and the wild, untamed internet tells me the Brewster pipes were all made in one batch in 1964 as a promotional item for Sir Walter Raleigh. Since that's the year I was born, this pipe and I get along very well, and it does deliver a good, sweet experience.
When I got this pipe it was pretty crusty and green, so I cleaned it up some - and when it's winning disposition shone thru I decided to give it a thorough cleaning. Here are the pics:
Brewster's rim is a little wavy and funky. I dig that. You can see better in this After pic:
It kinda slopes inward, and has a sort of wave to it. Interesting.
The stem was brown and green in spots.
But using techniques I learned from you gentlemen, it's clean and black.

And he does have some nice grain, with flame on both sides - a bit of bird's eye fore and aft.
This before picture shows the stamp and some of the stem grunginess.
It's still got a few dings, but as I learn, I'll take care of them, too. Thanks for looking!
