Cleaning Natural Finishes

Something about the natural colouring of briar just screams beauty to me, or at least I assume it does, as around 60% of my stable is made up of "Natural Finishes". Over time, ash, oils, and general grime from my hands have formed a dirty looking patina on the outside of the bowl. Any tips for cleaning this up, short of attacking the works with micro-mesh?

Tip: Using a buffing wheel with a little Tripoli on it very lightly and then use Carnuba to shine it back up.

I agree with that other guy... :laughat:
I have a Nording Signature that has a natural finish. It must be 8-10 years old by now. It has mostly turned a reddish brown, but it is very flat looking, not like a stained finish at all. The thin layer of wax will keep it coloring from the inside and make the normal detritus of day to day handling easy to wipe off.
Its a very meer like process. 8)
