Well as I have just started picking up a pipe after 30 years I stumbled on a new happiness: I just smoked a bowl of CD Autumn Evening and inadvertently was eating a bar of dark chocolate at the same time. Just saying...sweet Yes, but a great combo!

Maybe my dark chocolate candy bar wasn't the best pairing, after reading your article, but it was like a great desert for me tonight. Sweet on sweet. Yet the chocolate did cover my tongue a bit too much.

I had some Peterson De Luxe Mixture with my coffee this morning, for the first time. I was pretty amazing how the tobacco brought out flavors I had not noticed in my coffee. They complemented each other very well.

It is your tobacco and chocolate after all, do as you please. Trust me, sometimes it is good to get your tongue covered with chocolate oil. Although it will prevent you from tasting the nuances of the tobacco, it may make harsh-on-the-tongue-blends more bearable.
