Yes, we'll see how long it lasts. I won't be doing any major projects with it, or using it very often so it may last a while.
Totally get it... I have several caches of tools. Some I use in my workshop, some live in the garage, and others I carry around in my vehicle. The cheaper Harbor Freight tools are good for infrequent use,

I am / was tempted and pulled it up to look at but will likely pass on this one.

My father always tells me to buy the best I can afford when it comes to tools. I can afford more, so I'll forgo the likely headache of early replacement and seek a different contender.

Buffers are like reamers, to be used judiciously if at all. In estate pipes, in honest ads, over-buffing is a frequent kind of wear mentioned. Though in restoring pipes it is sometimes necessary.

I've confined myself to hand buffing and polishing, but I'm not after a new-pipe look. Little signs of use, even wear, looks good to me.

Our member here, brad, has a shoe polishing buffer that works and I think doesn't take the stamping off the pipes.

I'd say, proceed cautiously to not overdo it.
