So I love the look of the cobbit dwarf but not a huge fan of the long church warden type stem. Can I put a shorter stem on it if I order one? Any advice here is appreciated thanks

I would just buy a Morgan instead. It's basically the same size and shape bowl, just without the Chrurchwarden stem. You can put the "slim non-filtered bit" on it if you like a longer stem. That's the same stem found on the Patriot.
Without the longer stem the Morgan is a nose warmer.

I know that with the Wizard, you can put the stem on any MM filtered pipe or vice versa. I would think that it would work the same way with the dwarf and shire. You can always shoot an email to MM and they are pretty good about answering within twenty four hours.

Yes. Get an forever stem for it or just get an unfiltered stem from MM.

Both the Royal and Slim stems will fit the Cobbit Dwarf. If you look on our website for the stems, you will notice that for some reason we refer to stems as "bits" here at Missouri Meerschaum, and we are too old to change!
