Well... Looking thorough an old box, I stumbled across an unopened tin of Butera's Royal Vintage Sweet Cavendish.

It has a little bulge but not bad. So when I looked at the bottom I saw this...

Vintage 1997! I never got around to trying this. I know it hasn't been produced in a while. Haas anyone tried this before? Did you like it, etc.?

Planning on opening this weekend when I have some time.

Let me know what you all think!

at this point I don't think anyone has tried it. That can not be considered the same tobacco that went into the tin all those years ago. If nothing else it will be a very interesting and unique smoke. And probably could make some good change off that single tin. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if people start PMing you with cash offers.

Good aromatic. At near 25 years of age, the toppings have probably subsided enough that the aged Virginias will taste wonderful.

I would liken it to Sillem’s Copenhagen as far as taste.

I’m not a non-aro snob, and I enjoy it occasionally. Sort of a sweet caramel Amaretto taste to it. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on it when you try it.
