Briar Blanks for Pipes

Has anyone gotten one of these to make your own pipe, seems like it could be cool but wanted to get some input from the people i trust … and well they aren’t available so I’ll ask y’all instead ?

Bonus points if you have used them and have pictures of the final product.

That’s awesome and that’s where these are from, im sure i will butcher it and fuck it all up, but still seems like it could be a fun little project.

Thats what I did. Carved it Using a belt sander, I shaped the bowl wrong and it was really thin on one side. I smoked it once and threw it out. Great practice though!

I like his kits a lot. My other 3 are from him. Much higher quality.

didi', that's a superior rustication job, very artful and distinctive.

Yeah I did one from a Molina kit, hand carved it with brass inlay, came out quite well

Smart move to ask about them here. In my experience it's always best to ask advice from someone who has no financial interest in what you're asking about.

It smokes very nicely. It's heavy but that's due to its chunky size. The briar itself is very good quality. Only 1 small hole. For 22 pounds or whatever u paid for it I would definitely get another. It also takes a 9mm filter which is a nice option
