Hello,

my Name is manu and im from germany. I own an old pipe With the letters "HOCKLEY REAL BRIAR" on the side. I've asked some pipe traders here in germany, but no one knew something about this pipe... so i thought maybe you can help me out with the question about "HOCKLEY"?

Since the stamp is in English, it may be an English pipe. Probably not a U.S. pipe; the standard stamp in the U.S. was "Imported Briar." That was used especially after WWII when briar again became available. The "Real Briar" terminology was not a standard U.S. stamp. Some of our Forums pipes historians may be able to pin it down more precisely.

Thank you for your answer. Now i know in which country the Pipe was made and i hope someone can clear the other questions to those pipe.
