Would somebody be willing to post a picture showing the empty bowl on a used Meerschaum that's ready to smoke? Weird request I know But.
All the Meerschaum care guides talk about keeping the cake down, cleaning it out and such but as a complete newbie I'm not sure if I'm doing this effectively enough or just over thinking it.
All I know is my single Meerschaum is my favorite pipe and I'd hate to do anymore damage to it then I've already done.

As you requested. These meers range in age 1896, 1917, 1920 and 1970s

I use folded pipe cleaners after a smoke. If smoking a gloopy aromatic mix and some bits of tobacco sticks to the walls, I gently scrape off with a rounded end pipe tool.

Then damp paper towel followed by scrunched up and twisted dry paper towel.

There is no cake. Just a thin carbonised layer
