Bought an estate Peterson for $45

Good afternoon gents. So I just purchased an estate Pete on eBay for $45 bucks... The pictures look great but it feels too good to be true. I think people weren't wild about this one because it's a smaller pipe (it's a 303) and becuase there's a Zippo logo on the nickel band. Here are a few of the pictures. Thoughts?

Nice looking Peterson. The pipe is part of collaboration between Peterson and Zippo. Each box set included a Peterson Pipe and a Peterson themed Zippo lighter.

Looks like a good find to me. The Zippo on the band is interesting. Looks like it came from a Peterson/Zippo set, from what I found online (pic). Maybe someone here with more "collector" experience can input.

Interesting. Sounds like a good marketing option for the two companies, although I've never been a fan of using Zippos with pipes.

I think you have little to worry about. That is one really good looking pipe. I need to get a couple of small pipes for the times when you have a time crunch, of sorts.

Really excited for this to arrive. I'll likely be using it for the stronger blends in my collection. I imagine this would be ideal size for something like Royal Yacht.

I think you got a good deal. That's about half what a new Peterson sells for. Sometimes the P-Lip (the bit that directs the smoke at the roof of your mouth) sells for a little less, since it is less popular that the fishtail bit, but at this price, I think you did fine. I wouldn't worry about it. Enjoy.

Great buy - Those sets are upwards of $100 nowadays I believe. I had one early in my career and traded it for another pipe that I can't even recall. Bad trade for me it seems.

Actually, Peterson sells a lot more P-lip stems vs. Fishtale. I like the P-lip as they are most often available in Vulcanite and they usually make the Fishtale stems from acrylic.

Well, the package has arrived. Pretty floored by how nice this thing is. Probably been smoked less than a dozen times. However, its very clear that the pervious owner didn't own pipe cleaners. Time for a swab cleaning with some knob creek, and then it's off to the races!
