Blends like Bob's Chocolate Flake

Hey all, like the title says, I'm looking for other blends like Bob's Chocolate. I know that part of this is chocolate flavoring, and I have tried a few other chocolate blends, but none of them remind me much of bob's. I think it may be more the fact that there is a very small amount of Latakia in there, and very small amount of Burley as well. I'm thinking those are the kind of blends I'm looking for.

When I started smoking a pipe, I loved Latakia and couldn't get enough, and then, one day, it just tasted bad to me. Now I'm finally learning that a pinch of it can add this creaminess to a smoke that I can't get enough of and I'm wondering what other blends just dip their toes into the Latakia.

What are yalls favorite blends like this?

Add a pinch of lat to HU Makhuwa. Fantastic.

Your favorite vaper...St Bernart Flake works great....plus salty dogs plus a pinch of lat.

There isn’t really anything like it. Two Friends has their English Chocolate, having Latakia and Virginia with chocolate.

Ummm, it's stablemate, Samuel Gawith Chocolate Flake (CH Flake in the UK) is a natural choice. And some prefer it to Bob's.

English chocolate is a favorite of mine. I never liked the Lakeland in bobs or the Lakeland/perique in Stonehenge flake. English chocolate is just Virginia, Latakia and the flavoring which suits me perfectly.

Do you have a blend that you like that gives you super creamy smoke due to a small touch of Latakia?

Sutliff Sunrise (EMP match) has a creamy lemon flavor to me. Light on Latakia with Orientals and Virginia. Might be worth a shot for you.

Not with a small touch of latakia. If you remove that restriction, I'd "Westminster" fills the bill very well for me.

I suppose you are right. I am happy with all of the responses I have received so far though.

Side-stepping the chocolate part, a few of GLP's Virginia/VaPer blends (Fillmore, Laurel Heights, Lombard, etc) use small amounts of Latakia to add depth/richness/creaminess.

I personally like Boswell's Chocolate Cream. To me it had more chocolatey flavor than Bob's.

I did find the tinned BCF to be more flavorful. I wish I had taken a picture when I say this. The tinned flakes were dark and the color was consistent. The bulk was tan with spots of brown. The two tobaccos did not look the same and the bulk was much drier.

Wilke’s Sweet Smoky Chocolate is, to me, very close in flavor to Bob’s. It’s a ribbon cut so that’s different but the smoke tastes real similar. Both Bob’s and SSC are excellent.

A few that haven’t been mentioned that carry a chocolate note, mostly dark chocolate.
Ashton’s Smooth Sailing
W O Larson’s Old Fashioned
and good old Mac Baren 7 Seas Regular
Of these 3 Ashton’s has the most forward chocolate note.

Its not as much chocolate as Makhuwa but HH Burley flake has subtle notes. It would probably be tasty with a hit of lat. Id suggest getting a tin or a coupld of oz of blending lat and experimenting. I find it nice to be able to control condiments. I prefer to salt and pepper my own food.
