RIP Ki. I like that memorial. What are those blue things? Do they symbolize anything? Sorry for your loss Old Cajun.

My condolences to you.

There is nothing like the love and friendship a dog can give.

I mark my time on this earth by all the great friendships I have had with my dogs.

They pass through our lives and make them all the better.

I feel honored to have had their companionship.

Bradley, I send best wishes. I lost my dog to brain cancer last December (three months yesterday) and I still miss him everyday. I remember seeing pictures of Ki on this board. He was a beautiful dog.

Sorry to hear it Bradley. I had 3 dogs pass away on me in the last few years. Loved them all, but one was extra special to me. He was a chubby little cocker. Had the worst breath you ever came across (we tried everything to cure it to no avail), but was the sweetest dog I ever had.

Beyond The Rainbow
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,

I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.

I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free

Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side

Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!

And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see

Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!

My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new

And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright

That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.

'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold

And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,

We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.

So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart

If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

Sorry to read your sad news. The one trouble with dogs ( and cats ) is that they live long enough to become part of the family but not long enough to travel through life with.
Hope you have many happy memories that will remain as the sadness slowly fades.

I'm sorry to read of your loss. Dogs are loyal and ask for so little in return. I saw you post and was already dreading what I would read once I opened the post. You were lucky to have such a good friend Bradley, hang in there.

Dude, my condolences. A good pet allows us an exercise in love, and yes it is like loosing a family member. Keep your buddy with you always in your heart.

Mon Cher Brad:
Withnail's comment just might be the most profound thought I've ever read on this board:
"The one trouble with dogs ( and cats ) is that they live long enough to become part of the family but not long enough to travel through life with."
It's God grace when a four legged friend touches our lives in such a fashion.
I'll remember you, Mrs. Simon and your sweet Ki in my prayers tonight, friend.
