I steamed about 95% of it out with hot iron and a wet paper towel. Then a light sand to even out the rest. Steaming did remove some stain along with sanding, so I stained it to match. I’m lucky it is black so staining was super easy. What did you do to fix it?
The stem was lucky it only had a little ding at the lip, which I heated out. Now the unlucky guy in this was Hercules on stem. When I went to buff the pipe it took the little white guy right off.Did you steam the dents?
Gone, but not forgotten. I also was able to take care of the flaw in the stain over the nomenclature. The stem was lucky it only had a little ding at the lip, which I heated out. Now the unlucky guy in this was Hercules on stem. When I went to buff the pipe it took the little white guy right off.
Of course it would do.You could have left it alone and it would have smoked fine.
Yeah, but my OCD wouldn’t have left it alone. Heck, I just got my birth year Dunhill in good condition, but I saw all the flaws and went to fixing them. You could have left it alone and it would have smoked fine.
