If you have used a light varnish on the pipe (correct with rustication) don't buff it with wax, don't buff it at all

ok,i may sand the smooth parts down.my spit coat looks to heavy.may not have cut the shellac enough.

I think it looks good, but is the bowl diameter as small as it appears? Or is that an optical illusion?

A little bit hefty for my tastes, but nicely done! Looks like it would make a good campfire pipe, since it won't be hard to find if you set it down, and it looks like it would sit upright easily enough outdoors.
