I was flipping through the P&C catalogue and a beautiful volcano bowl briar in emerald green struck my eye. Can't find it on their website but I'm oddly intrigued. Does anyone own any of these emerald green pipes? I like the short stout look of it and even my wife says she likes it. I only own a cob and am investing in a dozen or so tobacco varieties to practice how to smoke before I put money into a briar. If I do get a briar, it'd be a straight brown billiard. But this green pipe looks so cool. I think I need to own it if I can find it for purchase.
Here it is on another website. It's supposed to only be $85 through P&C. Might give them a call and see if they do carry it.

I got a response from P&C yesterday. They were supposed to get this pipe from the manufacturer but there was a mix up. They don't have an ETA when they might stock it. Shame. Does anyone have any first hand experience with Big Ben pipes? Are they worth the price? Am I crazy for wanting such an odd looking pipe?

I have a Big Ben 542 Bent Ball shape and it's one of my favorite smokers, it smokes every bit as good as my Stanwell's, Peterson's and Savinelli's. I'm not a huge fan of the volcano shape, but I do love the look of emerald green pipes.

They are all exceptional for the price paid and sport grain and looks of pipes 3 and 4 times the cost. And they are among my most excellent smokers. I am a serious devotee of 9mm filter pipes and my three favorite executors of that concept are Big Ben, Design Berlin, and Vauen, with Big Ben's being the most cost effective of the three. All three of these manufacturers know how to engineer the 9mm filter concept so that their pipes "breathe" almost as naturally as non-filter pipes. Not long ago smokingpipes.com had Big Bens for sale... pipes like the above Cambridge and Saturn for something like $65!! Pinch me!! It was real!! Great pipes all!! I'd buy one any day!

I have a Big Ben Lectura churchwarden (straight w/Dublin bowl) that is nicely made and smokes well, and is notably light weight.

Thanks for all the feedback. P&C never got the Volcano 123 in but they list a nearly straight Dublin and an Oom Paul in the emerald green colors. I don't like the Oom Paul shape at all. I do like Dublins. I almost got a Dublin instead of a billiard for my first pipe. I added this to my Father's Day wishlist.
