An elegant little pipe. The stummel has nice thick sides. I had to repair a hole near the button. I'm seeing a LOT of hole-y stems these days!

On second thought...if the interior were open I would roughen it up with a file and then fill all those nasties with SuperGlue. Then file and sand. And sand. And sand some more. Would the pipe then be worth anything? I have a basement full of reworked pipes that probably aren't "worth" much. They gave me pleasure in the work, however. But, wow, the stress sure shows on that stem!:oops:
