Lawnmower won.
I'm a huffer, a puffer, a blower

Even when I am pushing a mower

My eyes sprung from their socket

When it lept from my pocket

And the life of my Bari was over
RIP my dear pipe. I will miss you.

The mower was obviously one of the nonsmoking crowd. RIP little briar friend.

Oh man! That is heart wrenching. A sledgehammer to the lawn mower will make you feel better... it will however put you out for the cost of a new lawn mower. Worth it? Maybe. Sorry about your pipe.

This is why I smoke cobs when I am around machinery or walking my mastiff, who has a tendency to jerk the leash.
Sorry for your loss... :crying:

I was gifted with a Bari bent billiard almost 40 years ago by my late wife's aunt and it is still a great pipe, so I feel your pain. If you see one of these as an estate, and it is in good shape, it is a great Danish pipe, long discontinued.

Lovely verse to send off what I imagine was a good friend. Here's a haiku for this.
This made my heart sob.

Therefore my rule for yard work.

Always use a cob.

My condolences.

Thank you for the kind condolences and the timely humor. Someday I might look back on mcitinner1's comment and think they were the right words for the right time, but now it just hurts.

“Later that night, alone in the backyard, he buried it next to the garage. Now I could never be sure, but I thought that I heard the sound of Taps being played, gently.” - Ralphie Parker.

Oh, wow, what a terrible thing! I feel for your loss.
On the (slightly) positive, it's another illustration that very little seeps out of the chamber into the briar, nor from the outer wall towards the chamber. How many miles on that baby before she was executed by your mower?
