Are we allowed to ask who makes the sandwich? There's this lady who's just amazing at making sub. Just a true sandwich artist. But I really don't want to offend others. Unlike anyone else at my local shop, she knows how to layer the cuts, put just enough veggies, right amount of salt and pepper.. And the coup de grâce, oil and vinegar, to just a right amount. Eating her creation is just heavenly. All the ingredients are just in the right place. Not too little, and not too much where the jalapenos and black olives are dropping everywhere. Now I'm hungry.

Sure, why not? Just be careful to watch the other employees, so that none of them spit in your sandwich.

I simply do not understand the difficulty here.

Why don't you just tell your kitchen staff to make things exactly the way you describe or you'll have them tossed overboard the next time you're in open water?

Works like a champ. :col:

Find out her name. Ask specifically if she can make your sandwich and say why.
I worked in a sandwich shop many years ago. I would have enjoyed making a requested sandwich. My fellow employees wouldn’t have cared for it though.
Nothing like a really good sandwich.

Say you want to learn her name so you can leave a good word on a customer survey. Chances are, your receipt will link you to such. And do so. Fast food workers are treated like garbage and are quickly up upbraided by customers over the most trivial stuff. It's common for them to hear what they are doing wrong, but rarely do they get to hear praise and appreciation. A good survey could really give her a boost, professionally and personally.
